1. About Foster

Hi, I’m Foster — chef, bartender, flavor enthusiast, and passionate host.


My culinary journey began in 2016 at the Walden Yacht Club in Montgomery, Texas, where I discovered a deep love for creating thoughtful, unforgettable food. From cakes and truffles to unique flavor combinations, I was immersed in the artistry of pastry and dessert-making early on.

That passion took me to Austin in 2018, where I worked as a pastry chef at Hudson’s Hill Country and contributed to several renowned establishments, helping design menus that were both elevated and approachable. Austin’s rich food scene helped shape my creativity, sharpen my technique, and fuel my love for bold flavors.

2. My Culinary Journey

A timeline of growth, grit, and gourmet experiences.

  • 2016: Began as a pastry-focused chef at Walden Yacht Club in Montgomery, TX
  • 2018: Moved to Austin; pastry chef at Hudson’s Hill Country & Private Chef For a Family on Lake Travis
  • 2018–2020: Worked with six family-owned restaurants, developing diverse menus and mixology programs
  • 2020: Returned to Montgomery as live-in chef for a family on lake conroe  Bartender & Pastry Chef at The Eatery @ Hodge Podge Lodge
  • 2021: Helped launch il Bracco and Balboa Surf Club with Western Addition in Dallas, bringing a modern cocktail flair to both venues

Hi, I’m Foster — chef, bartender, flavor enthusiast, and passionate host.


My culinary journey began in 2016 at the Walden Yacht Club in Montgomery, Texas, where my love for crafting exceptional dishes first took root. From delicate sweets and custom cakes to indulgent truffles and cake balls, I was immersed in the fine details of dessert-making and learned to treat flavor like an art form.


In 2018, I took my skills to Austin, where I served as a pastry chef at Hudson's Hill Country and contributed to the development of inspired, elevated menus at several renowned establishments. It was a foodie’s dream — an opportunity to grow, experiment, and collaborate in kitchens that celebrated bold ideas and big flavors.


Since then, I’ve had the privilege of working with six family-owned restaurants, each one a unique chapter in my story. These experiences taught me the true power of food — not just as nourishment, but as a form of expression and connection. Whether I’m designing a comforting meal, crafting a signature cocktail behind the bar, or curating a private event, I aim to create moments that linger — experiences that feel personal, memorable, and meaningful.


In 2020, I returned to my roots in Montgomery, where I continued sharpening my culinary and mixology skills as a live-in chef and bartender at The Eatery @ Hodge Podge Lodge. I developed private dining experiences, crafted bespoke menus, and poured my heart into every dish and drink I served.


In 2021, I joined the Dallas-based restaurant group Western Addition, helping open and establish two of their standout concepts: il Bracco and Balboa Surf Club. These vibrant, modern restaurants gave me the opportunity to bring a refined cocktail program to life — elegant yet approachable, with flair and flavor at the core.


Beyond the kitchen, I thrive in bringing people together. Hosting community events, intimate gatherings, and family-style feasts is where I feel most at home — creating joy through food, drink, and meaningful conversation.


Every dish I create and every cocktail I shake is guided by one mission: to serve experiences that connect. I believe food should feel like a celebration, and I’m endlessly inspired by new ingredients, cultural traditions, and the shared moments that happen around the table.
